Fantastic Brazilian vocalist Aline de Lima is releasing her second album, ‘Açaí,’ in Europe, the US and Canada.

Singing in perfect Swedish, Portuguese and French – this Brazilian native has lived in Stockholm and Paris since 2000 – Aline de Lima’s new album ‘Açaí’ (Naïve) marks the singer as a true citizen of the world. Nevertheless, her music is unmistakably her own, even when singing in French or Swedish – her homeland of Brazil runs deep in the bossa sounds of ‘Açaí.’ With a voice as smooth as silk but still endowed with emotion and playful charm, Aline de Lima and her fantastic musicians have crafted an album at once finely polished and emotionally tactile, wonderful bossa from a beautiful singer. ‘Açaí’ was released on the 21st of April throughout Europe (except for Germany, where it will be released on June 6th), and will be available in the US and Canada May 20th.

Begåvad låtskrivare och sångerska från Maranhão, norra Brasilien, nu bosatt i Frankrike där också japanen Jun Miyake har styrt upp det välproducerade albumet. Brasilianska skivor brukar vara fyllda med covers. Här en Gilberto Gil-cover och en lånad text av den portugisiska mästerpoeten Fernando Pessoa. Aline de Lima bodde ett par år i Sverige och låten Som om ingenting har hänt av Johan Christher Schütz för tankarna till Ekdahlsk viskonst med brasiliansk accent. Roligt att höra ett så imponerande bra eget material, vackert och sensuellt framfört.
